🔍 Analysis: The "Unsinkable" Sharat Singh Bhandari

Sharat Singh Bhandari has a storied history, having been a minister 13 times and winning from Mahottari consistently since the 1990s. In 2022, he won with a massive majority of over 14,000 votes, largely due to his deep-rooted local network. However, 2026 brings a more fragmented Madhesi vote. Bijay Kumar Singh (TMLP) remains his closest ideological rival, while Ram Parichhan Yadav (UML) attempts to capitalize on a unified "Left" support base. The Janadesh Party led locally by Raman Kumar Karn is the new variable, aiming to capture the disenfranchised voter base in Jaleshwor.
